Integrating dance into our daily lives can transform routine moments into joyful expressions. Whether it’s taking a few minutes to dance around your living room, or incorporating movement into your morning routine, these small steps can enhance your physical well-being, reduce stress, and boost your mood. Dance offers a creative outlet that encourages self-expression.By making dance a regular part of your day, you invite more energy, joy, and connection into your life. Enjoy our movie and let’s just dance!

This short movie aims to encourage our learners how to integrate movements into their daily lives not only as a form of exercise but also as a way to boost their mood and conect with their bodies. We come up with the title “Just Dance” to send a message that we can just dance away our different emotions and feel better afterwads. The song that we use in this movie was sung and popularised by Meghan Trainor.

Ahi Ahi! by Glendowie Primary satellite class

Our class has been learning about the elements this year. When we talked about ‘fire’ we focused on what to do when we see a fire and how to keep ourselves and others safe. During our dance sessions we started to put together a group dance to show others that it is important to get out and stay out if there is a fire. Through our dance we incorporated NZ Sign Language and movements that were significant to us and that supported our understanding of the phrase ‘get out, stay out’. Our group dance slowly transformed in to a music video. To quote New Zealand Fire ‘Get Out, Stay Out’ when there is a fire!
